Abstract:   (1202 Views)
Political relations between Afghanistan and Iran are important in many ways. These relations in the regional, Islamic and international dimensions directly or indirectly affect each other and have been formed over time under the influence of several factors. External factors and the role of great powers in the political relations between Afghanistan and Iran cannot be denied, but the basis of the relations between these two neighboring countries is based on deep geographical, religious, linguistic, cultural and civilizational commonalities. Representation of common political values is of serious importance for defining the political identity and common national interests of two countries in creating political convergence. The present article tries to use the library method in the framework of the constructivist theory, while examining the points of commonality in the foreign policy goals of Afghanistan and Iran, to examine the appropriate solutions to strengthen the commonalities and convergence (research problem). Regional security, the fight against terrorism and drugs, the development of international trade and the expansion of relations are among the most important common goals that lead to the strengthening of convergence (Hypothesis). Scientific relations between two countries are important mechanisms to strengthen commonalities and convergence (findings).
