The age of explosion of information, technology and globalization has changed the common concepts and terms of political science and international relation. The emergence and expansion of postmodern theories alongside emphasis on the normative approach laid background for the introduction of cultural and valued factors and variables in the analysis of international issues and foreign policy. This created a good platform for the Islamic approach in international issues and foreign policy. Considering the dominance of the western secularist discourse, the issue of convergence in the value-oriented foreign policy of the Islamic State has serious importance in this field. The prominence of soft power and media diplomacy in foreign policy and the significant existence of constructivist theory in the analysis of international issues provided very important opportunity for creating and strengthening convergence in the foreign policy of the Islamic State. In this research, the main question is the importance of media diplomacy in expanding the principles and values of the Islamic State's foreign policy and its consequences in the establishment and expansion of convergence. The author tries to investigate this problem via using the theory of constructivism. According to the global and international requirements of the age of information explosion and globalization, the agents of the foreign policy of the Islamic State has the necessary capacity and ground to establish and strengthen convergence in the foreign policy of this state. Accomplishing this important work will happen by the representation and definition of political identity, interests and basic values.
